Application Laboratory
Adherent Laboratories has an adhesives application laboratory that includes a May Coating Technologies CLS-300 slot-die coater/laminator. This coater is capable of slot-die coating thermoplastic adhesives for heat seal, pressure sensitive, or other applications. The coater is also available for narrow web contract coating.
The coater is fed with 1 and 5 gallon Acumeter melters, or a single screw extruder that enables the coating of extremely viscous materials.
The system is equipped with Fusion Systems™ UV lamps for curing reactive materials

Nonwoven Applications
The CLS-300 coater is equipped with a Nordson CF-200 spiral spray module (0.018 nozzle) that is used to make spiral spray diaper construction bonds to PE and NW films. Adherent's three roll AccraTec Lycra™ unwinder is used to stretch and incorporate elastic into diaper constructions.
